About

Part of the Stowen Group

Stowen Decommissioning is the onshore well-abandonment specialist within the Stowen Group — built around one purpose-engineered tool instead of a rented fleet of general equipment.

Why we exist

Wellhead removal deserved its own tool

For decades, the last physical step of plug & abandonment has been handled with equipment designed for other jobs — cutting torches meant for fabrication work, cranes meant for general lifting. Stowen Decommissioning was formed to build and operate a tool designed specifically for this one task: cutting and lifting a wellhead casing safely, in a single motion.

What we value

Three things guide every job

Safety by design

We'd rather engineer a hazard out of a job than manage it more carefully. The tool exists because of this principle.

Efficiency on site

Fewer machines and fewer hand-offs mean a shorter, more predictable timeline for every well.

A cleaner hand-back

A faster, safer wellhead removal means a faster path to a fully reclaimed site.
